With the weather remaining mild as we head toward the start of winter, I've been itching to get out and shoot some photographs. However with the sun setting just after 4PM, the only chance I have is on the weekend. And there really aren't many ideal places to photograph in Chicago during late fall/early winter. So when I saw that the Lincoln Park Zoo has a Christmas lights event called ZooLights, I decided I'd venture over to the zoo as long as the weather held. So that's where I went tonight just before sunset to catch the lights, which are primarily wrapped around the trees through the zoo, with the changing dusk sky as a backdrop. While it wasn't too crowded when I arrived, the crowd had definitely picked up after I walked about for nearly two hours. Below are the festive results of my trip.
