Miami South Beach

Upon my return to the States from Port-au-Prince, Haiti I had a six hour layover at the Fort Lauderdale airport. So my colleague and I rented a car and headed down to Miami, in particular, South Beach. It was a beautiful November day with a bright blue sky and white puffy clouds. Those conditions made it perfect for photographing the abundance of Art Deco architecture that fills the area. To say South Beach is an Art Deco lover's wet dream is an understatement. And since Art Deco architecture is my favorite, I was in heaven. From the rounded corners to the bas relief to the pastel colors it was building after building of magnificently preserved Art Deco architecture. It was like I had been transported back in time to the Roaring Twenties. It was just a short visit so I'll need to find a way back to South Beach.
