Louisville Main Street

Saturday morning I headed downtown to photograph the recently saved buildings of Whiskey Row. I then continued west on Main Street and photographed the architectural wonders on both sides of the street for the next two hours. And while I captured some of the best architecture Louisville has to offer, I didn't even begin to scratch the surface. It would takes weeks to capture all the great architecture the city has to offer. Main Street Louisville is one of the premiere locations in all the world for cast iron store fronts. For a city of its size, Louisville has a wonderful historic buildings stock, that for the most part, gets the attention and money it deserves. Most of these buildings stand today as they did over 100 years ago.
